Watching from home

Conferences are long and demanding, even online. Some tips:

  • Watch in short pieces. Recordings don’t go anywhere, so one talk a day is plenty.
  • Start with the summaries. Charities like ME Research UK, the ME Association, Emerge Australia and news sites like The Sick Times publish plain-language write-ups after major conferences.
  • Turn on subtitles and lower playback speed if processing is hard.

Finding more events

  • Emerge Australia and ME/CFS Australia post Australian events and webinars, especially around 12 May each year.
  • Solve M.E. and Open Medicine Foundation run regular free webinars.
  • The Sick Times covers major conferences as they happen.
